HistoryNamed in 1933 by H. M. Albright, National Park Service (NPS), for Allen Carpe, member of the Rockefeller Cosmic Ray Expedition, who with Theodore Koven, in May 1932, was killed by falling into a crevasse on Muldrow Glacier. See Mount Koven.
