HistoryNamed by the Browne-Parker Expedition of 1910 for Archer Milton Huntington, 1870-1955, president of the American Geographical Society, "under whose auspices we had undertaken the exploration of Mt. McKinley's southern glaciers." This may be the peak F.A. Cook named "Mt. Disston" in 1906 for a friend Henry Disston. See Mount Hunter.
