History of Archdeacons Tower

Named in 1942 by the U.S. Army Alaskan Test Expedition, for Hudson Stuck, 1863-1920, archdeacon of the Yukon, who with Henry Karstens, Walter Harper, and Robert Tatum made the first ascent of the South Peak of Denali (formerly Mount McKinley), June 7, 1913.
