Local name reported by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) (Twenhofel and others, 1946, pl. 1). This mountain was a nunatak from 1911 to 1929. It was called Nunatak Knob by members of the Glacier Bay Expedition of 1941 (Field, 1947, map).
