E point of entrance to Ugak Bay, 3 mi. N of Ugak I., on E coast of Kodiak I.
Named "Cape Hollings" in 1788 or 1789 by Meares (1790, p. 304). See Wagner (1937, p. 462). In 1804 Lisianski (1814, p. 169) gave the descriptive name "Narrow Cape." About 1808-10 Sarichev published "Mys Tonkiy," Russian translation of the present name. In 1869 U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) identified it as "Low Cape."
