History of Kapaloak Creek

Named in 1904 by Collier (1906, p. 44) who wrote, "An abandoned native settlement here bears the name Capaloa, and the name is applied by the writer to the creek near which the old houses stand." Spelling has been changed to conform with present-day pronunciation. See Capaloa and Cape Dyer.
