History of Tagadak Island

Aleut name published by Captain Tebenkov (1852, map 28), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN), as "O(strov) Tagadakh", or "Tagadakh Island." According to R. H. Geoghegan, this Aleut word means "fresh" or "new."
