Shown by Captain Tebenkov (1852, map 24), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN), as "O(strov) Dolgoi," meaning "long island" and reported by Lutke, 1836, as "Lile Dolgoi." The Aleut name was "Ananakeik," according to Father Veniaminov (1840, v. 1, p. 252).
