Proceed with caution this is bear country. There are two groups of springs that are on a steep slope, around 900ft to the southeast from the East Forks northern major tributary. The first group is made up of 3 springs flowing from granite, about 75ft above a logging road. The second group are about 130ft above the logging road.
The hot springs are said to be around 135°F (57°C) and flow a combined volume of just under 10 gallons a minute.
Fly into Wrangell, from there charter a float plane or take a boat south down Blake Channel and then east up Bradfield Canal, then proceed 9.3 miles from the canal and along East Fork Bradfield River.
