2 mi. W of Karluk, on E coast of Kodiak I.
Name derived from village of Karluk and published by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in 1868. This point was called "Cape Karloutskoi" by Captain Lutke (1836, p. 276), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN), and Baker (1906, p. 350) says "locally known as 'Karluk head'."
