Russian name meaning "outlet" given in 1909 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS). The name was derived from "M(ys) Vykhoda," or "Outlet Cape," given by Murashev in 1839 or 1840 for the eastern 1849 on Russian Hydrographic Dept. Chart 1425.
