Extending S off Elson Lagoon at the mouth of Avak Creek, between Scott Point and Ross Point, 15 mi SE of Point Barrow, Arctic Plain. 5 miles long.

History of Iko Bay

Eskimo name published by Commander R. Maguire (1854, map facing p. 186), Royal Navy (RN), and reported to mean "the last one" or "the end." This feature is probably the same bay shown on Thomas Simpson's map as McKenzies Bay and named "after Chief Factor Roderick Mackenzie (sic)," of the Hudson's Bay Company (simpson, 1843, p. 152).
