Mining camp, now abandoned, reported in 1912 by H. M. Eakin, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS); named after the Discovery claim located by W. A. Dikeman and John Beaton on Christmas day, 1908. Population was about 50 in 1912, excluding miners.
