History of Tukuto Creek

This Eskimo name appears on a fieldsheet by Gerald Fitzgerald, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in 1925. It may be the Eskimo name for "fog" (taktuktoq) which frequently occurs on the north slope of Brooks Range, or it may be a form of "taqtu" meaning "kidney".
