About

Heads on the N slope of the Igichuk Hills and flows NW 23 mi. to the Chukchi Sea at the S end of Kotlik Lagoon, 15 mi. N of Cape Krusenstern; Kotzebue-Kobuk Low.

History

Reported to be named for an old Eskimo village located near the streams mouth, which now is only a site; obtained in 1926 by Gerald FitzGerald, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
