flows NE from Ipnek Mtn. to North Fork Koyukuk River opposite Delay Pass, 18 mi. W of Wiseman, Brooks Range. 8.5 miles long.
This is an Eskimo word said to mean "sheep" and was given to the stream by Marshall (1956, p. 117) who writes, "this had been an important focal point in the Wild River stampede of 1913-15. It was the point where the men coming over Jack Delay Pass from Wiseman crossed the North Fork and headed over a low pass into the Wild River drainage."
