Heading on the W slope of Thunder Mountain in the De Long Mountains, flowing NW to the Utukok River, 42 mi. N of Misheguk Mtn., 10 mi SW of Meat Mountain, Brooks Range. 35 miles long.

History of Driftwood Creek

Named in 1925 by a U.S. Geological Survey exploring party because of the utilization of driftwood found along its banks for fuel. The Eskimo name for this stream is "Karvak" (Chapman and Sable, 1960, p. 53).
