History of Davidson Creek

Named in 1932 by B. D. Stewart, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in honor of the late Charles E. Davidson, who served as United States Surveyor-General and ex-officio Secretary of Alaska from October 18, 1913, to August 8, 1919, on which date he was drowned in Taku Inlet a short distance from the mouth of this stream.
