Heading in a glacial lake in the S part of the Clearwater Mountains and flowing SW to join Raft Creek 5 mi upstream from its mouth, 80 mi. SE of Healy, Alaska Range. 4 miles long.
Named in 1954 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) geologists because the valley being similar to those in the Swiss Alps, with steep, sharp-crested walls, broad floor, U-shape, and lakes.
