History of Tingmerkpuk River

Eskimo name for the American Golden Eagle, (Aquila chrysaetos canadensis), shown on a 1926 fieldsheet by Gerald FitzGerald, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). The Eskimo name means "largest bird (tingmiakpak)."
