Eskimo name; appeared on a fieldsheet by R.K. Lynt and was reported in 1924 by P.S. Smith, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in 1924. The name is reported to mean "westward" (Uwanmun); the present-day Eskimo name is Sakvailak.
