History of Mount Sergeant Robinson

Named in 1965 by Senator E. L. Bartlett for Sergeant George F. Robinson, USA, (died 1907), who on April 14, 1865 thwarted the assassination attempt on Secretary of State William H.Seward, being himself severely wounded in action. The assassination attempt took place the same evening that President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated.
