History of Mount Juhle

Named in 1956 by G. O. Gates, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), for Dr. Rolf Werner Jhule (1929-53), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) geologist and vulcanologist, who apparently lost his footing and was drowned in Knife Creek while doing field work in the area.
