In Misty Fjords National Monument Wilderness in Tongass National Forest, comprised of three lakes, the NW lake is 1.5 km (0.9 mi) long and 0.8 km (0.5 mi) wide, the middle lake is 1.8 km (1.1 mi) long and 1 km (0.6 mi) wide, and the SE lake is 1 km (0.6 mi) long and 0.5 km (0.3 mi) wide, 6.3 km (3.9 mi) SE of Ledge Point and 6.6 km (4.1 mi) NW of Nooya Lake.
Named for Edwin James "Pete" Cessnun (1918-1993), a pioneer Alaska aviator, Alaska State Representative, businessman and teacher.
