Heads in Canada about 5 mi E of Mount Jette and flowing SE, across the international boundary for 15 mi to join Nunatak Glacier, 3 mi. E of head of Nanatak Fiord and 37 mi. NE of Yakutat, St. Elias Mts.
Named in 1922 jointly by Board on Geographic Names (BGN) and Canadian Permanent Committee on Geographical Names (CPCGN) for Art Lewis, a member of Canadian surveying parties in 1912 and 1914. Lewis was killed in France while serving in the Canadian Expeditionary Force with the 72nd Highlanders in WW I. The name was published by International Boundary Commission (IBC) in 1928 as "Art Lewis Glacier."
