If you're looking for a town like Rescue, Alaska your best bet is Girdwood, Alaska.

Rescue Alaska is a small town in northern Alaska where visitors come to hike and ski or so they say. It's supposed to be set in northern Alaska so we put it near Anaktuvuk Pass. In reality there's no resort-y towns in northern Alaska, it's all remote villages and work camps or the occasional remote lodge.
