On the delta of the Kongakut River, between Beaufort Lagoon, on the NW, and Siku Lagoon, on the SE, 16.5 mi. NW of Demarcation Point, Arctic Plain.
HistoryEskimo name recorded on Barter I. in 1952 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) and meaning "ice." It is descriptive of the semipermanant ice, or aufeis, that is found on the delta of the Kongakut River.
