E point of entrance between Kugrua and Peard Bays, 8.5 mi. SW of Point Franklin and 24 mi. NE of Wainwright, Arctic Plain.
Eskimo name recorded in 1956 by T. E. Taylor, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). In 1965 Orth was told by the people at Wainwright that the name means "Eluk's entrance."
