About

Extends from Cape Lutke to Cape Rukavitsie, on the S coast of Unimak Island, Aleutian Islands.

History

Named about 1885 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) for Unimak Island. Its Aleut name was recorded by Father Veniaminov (1840, v. 1, p. 211) as "Tyramak" ("Tugamak").
