Oval shaped, E of the Anaktuvuk River, 58 mi NNE of Anaktuvuk Pass, Arctic Slope.

History

So named by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) geologists about 1950 because "exposed bedrock traces around the oval basin give it the appearance of a race track."
